On 27 March 2009 The Minister of Finance, Kristin Halvorsen, sent a letter to the Managing Director of the IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, offering to make additional financial resources available to the IMF. Norges Bank suggested in a letter of 12 March 2009 that Norway enters into a dialogue with the IMF on a possible drawing right for the IMF (the letter is only available in Norwegian).
