Banks kept credit standards unchanged for both households and enterprises in 2011 Q2. Banks expect unchanged credit standards for households and enterprises in 2011 Q3. Household and corporate credit demand increased somewhat in 2011 Q2. Banks expect approximately unchanged household credit demand and somewhat higher corporate credit demand. Lending margins on both household and corporate loans have fallen further in 2011 Q2.
In its work on monitoring financial stability in Norway, Norges Bank uses extensive statistics on developments in credit and financial markets. In order to expand the information base, Norges Bank conducts a quarterly survey of bank lending.
