On 1 January 2020, Norges Bank will become the administrator of the Norwegian Overnight Weighted Average (Nowa). In that connection, Norges Bank has adopted new principles for calculating and publishing Nowa.

Nowa is calculated using transaction data reported on Norges Bank’s RPD (money market data reporting) form. The illustrative data series for historical reformed Nowa is calculated from data from Norges Bank’s settlement system (NBO). The data series and the results in this article is therefore only as an indication of the development in historical reformed Nowa.
