A 10-krone special edition circulation coin will be issued to mark the 200th anniversary of the founding of Norway’s first university. It is emphasised that the anniversary is not geographically limited to Oslo, but is intended to mark the beginning of higher education and scientific study in Norway as a whole.

Two commemorative coins in silver will be issued in recognition of the central role held by sports and the importance of sports activities in Norway. One of the coins will be issued to mark the 150th anniversary of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports. The other will be issued in connection with the World Ski Championships in Oslo to mark the special position held by skiing.

Dates of issue will be determined at a later time.
