Torild Lid Uribarri’s previous position was Group Executive Vice President of Communications and Public Relations at Bane Nor, a position she has held for the past five years.

“Torild Lid Uribarri has an in-depth understanding of the field of communications and Norges Bank’s mission. I am proud and happy that Norges Bank has attracted such a competent and experienced person as the Bank’s new Director of Communications and External Relations”, says Governor Ida Wolden Bache.

Up to 2018, Torild Lid Uribarri was Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs Officer at Telenor Norge, and she has held various executive positions at Telenor Media and Findexa.

Uribarri holds a Master of Business and Marketing from the BI Norwegian Business School. She has also completed the senior executive course at the Norwegian Defence University College, as well as a number of shorter courses in strategy, marketing and management at INSEAD, London Business School, the NHH Norwegian School of Economics and AFF.

The Communications Unit at Norges Bank will be part of the Bank’s executive management’s General Secretariat from 1 September 2023 and is responsible for external relations, internal communications, the Bank’s intranet and external websites, the Norges Bank Education Centre and language services.

Torild Lid Uribarri will take up the position of Director of Communications and External Relations on 1 September.
